Thank you for your podcasts. I have been enjoying listening to you and Wendy discuss the episodes.
I love that the show is featuring some Hawaiian culture, and hope that they continue to do so.
It is interesting to hear about our 50th state’s history that we did not really get in history books when I went to school.
After this episode I had a big smile on my face the next day while reading reviews and commenting. All I could think of was, my show is back. This is what got me hooked in the first season. I know we will have to have serious episodes, and this can’t happen every episode, but every so often, a fun episode would be nice. 2.18 with James Caan looks like we will have two in a row. I agree with you that every episode can’t be the same, but they don’t need to mix it up too much. I loved when Danny went to rescue the guy in the water, that his hair was still in place, flatter then usual, but still in place. “book me a towel” was a great come back to “book em Danno”.
The final scenes where Steve calls the victims wife’s name, and the bad guy grabs her, the look on his face was great, then he shoots him in the shoulder. Then the scene with all of them at the table and Gracie and Gabby are on the beach was perfect. I had heard Autumn Reeser was up for a pilot, but did not know it was in Hawaii, so that gives me hope that Danny/Gabby will be able to have a relationship, they look good together. Great episode.
Looking forward to hearing your next podcast.
I really enjoy hearing the two of you, Dana and Wendie, discussing, laughing, and gushing over each new #H50 episode! I just have to say it – you are both such fan girls!! Of course, I’m right there with you!
There really was a lot to gush over this week! There was just too much packed into a mere 43 minutes to do justice to all of it on a blog or even a podcast, but you hit on all my favorites! So much historical information – I’ve added the Bishop Museum to my list of things to see on Oahu this summer.
Steve’s very smug looks – all episode long – for Danny. Yes, he’s self-satisfied that he got Danny to initially ask Gabby out for “coffee” and things have blossomed, but I also think Steve is just so relieved that there were no repercussions for Danny over the kidnapping issue. Danny still gets to see Grace, and Steve still gets to be part of that little family unit. The same goes for Chin and Kono – the relief and love flowed out of them this week, and Danny just kind of basked in it!
But there were an awful lot of references to happiness and Danny and I have to admit, it’s made me nervous. Peter Lenkov doesn’t think a happy Danny is entertaining (ha!), so I have a sneaking suspicion that all will not be hunky dorey on the Danny front by season’s end. I guess that means we better enjoy our happy Danny while we can! Looks like we’ll have more fun with Papa Caan this coming week, though! By the look at the promos, it’s going to be great!
Thanks again, ladies for a fun podcast! I sit here doing my counted cross stitch while listening to my two friends talk about our favorite show! A great way to while away a snowy afternoon!
You guys always manage to make my H50 buss last for days and days. Just when it starts to wane a bit…looking forward to the next new episode, your podcast comes up and there I go…enjoying the episode all over again!
This episode had so much to love I’m surprised you guys didn’t talk for several hours! Listening to you two gush all over it was such fun. I gush about it at home but no one here actually understands why I’m so excited. Listening to you guys makes me feel like I am really part of the great Ohana of H50.
Mahalo again for spreading the fun all week long!!!
Love the podcast, very well done! I also enjoy these “fun” episodes, I love all the team interactions & banter. I am sure they will get back around to distressing McG & the gang soon enough!!
WOW! What a great episode and what a great podcast!
I could have episode after episode just like this and would be happy.
WEBSouffle, I could not believe you missed the time travel/LOST connection! But I totally missed the HEROES/time travel one — so I guess were even.
What a striking visual with all the WARRIORS in red against the LOST Valley backdrop. Stunning.
I loved the Steve/Danno moments but one of my favorite scenes was watching Steve’s face as Danno and Gabby walked/talked. He looked like he’d swallowed a canary!
There are 2 places that I love seeing on H5-0: the LOST Valley and Hilton Hawaiian Village. That was the beach right by the Hilton, correct? I am totally on board with Gabby/Danno. It’s very sweet and uncomplicated. Not like the Danno/Rachel thing.
All around this episode may be my favorite this season. Definitely one I will watch over and over.
Mahalo for the quick, wonderful series of podcasts of late. Just amazing and great fun.
You and Wendie are the best!
Hawaii Five-O: THE CAAN MEN Episode
OMG – I smiled the whole hour. I fell in love all over again with H5-0.
Papa Caan has gotten older (Who hasn’t?) but I totally see Scott in his face and mannerisms. It was fantastic.
Another great episode that I can watch over and over.
I loved when Papa Caan flirted with Kono. Loved when Kamekono was his guy and H5-0s guy! I loved the group hug. And Steve and Danno with their shoes off. Charming.
I must admit I figured out watching this episode that the action and mystery are fine, but — I’m on board for the love and humor. I could watch the whole crew banter for an hour and not get bored.
I hope Papa Caan comes back. Great dynamic.
I may post this again if you get a post up for this episode.
Cannot wait for a podcast!!!
